About Me

My hometown is Rochester, Minnesota, but I am currently studying political science and policy studies at Grinnell College. I have always had a love for photography and essay writing, but my fondness for songwriting and poetry has been a recent development. Aside from studying, I spend the majority of my time singing in choir, working on political issues, playing piano and cello, watching and playing sports, and hiking. Most of my favorite photography is done in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area in northern Minnesota, and much of my poetry and songwriting is inspired by experiences with friends and family in the great outdoors. I intend for this website to be a way for me to collect my creative endeavors for future personal reflection and to share them with my family. I hope that something catches your eye and prompts you to think differently about the world for a moment or gives you a new perspective on the nature surrounding us.
